The League of Friends of the Denbighshire Infirmary was founded in 1971. Volunteers assist the hospital in numerous ways, including providing a tea bar in outpatient and trolley shop for the day unit and wards as a form of patient service. Further support is provided through financial fundraising, going towards buying equipment and structural renovation. Their main objective is ‘to relieve patients and former patients of the Denbigh Infirmary, who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped, infirm or in need of financial assistance.’
The Friends of Denbigh Infirmary was founded in order to support the patients and staff of Denbigh Infirmary.
The Friends of Denbigh Infirmary renovated the side entrance to Denbigh Infirmary, with new and improved signage on the outside. The side entrance was officially opened by Lord Barry Jones after over a year of work.
