Alefiya started with Attend as a intern in January 2026.  She is originally from central New Jersey in the US. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with concentrations in Creative Writing and Deaf Studies at Ithaca College in upstate New York and is spending a semester studying in London and interning at Attend

Along with other communications and writing tasks, Alefiya mainly works on transcribing and editing interviews for the Friends Voices project.  While working with Attend, Alefiya has been able to sharpen her interviewing, writing and editing skills and meet new people.

In her free time, Alefiya enjoys reading, collaging, and hiking. She is excited to keep exploring London and gaining beneficial experience with Attend.
