Recently Attend were very pleased to receive this fantastic picture as a gift from Cynthia Burton at the Friends of Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine.

It shows the Middlesex Ladies Association at a meeting in the 1940’s . The presence of all the hats and gloves, indoors and at a meeting make it a very different from today. Equally so, are the presence of nice comfy armchairs for the attendees to sit on.

Thank you Cynthia for the insight not only into the Friends at the Middlesex, but into the social history of the wider movement as a whole.
